Kat is the founder of Nafas Yoga, a small home studio nestled in South Woodford, East London. Married to an Iranian and raising two daughters who represent the East and the West, Kat is deeply inspired by the weaving together of cultures, traditions and practices β this fusion is at the heart of Nafas Yoga.
Nafas means breath, a simple yet powerful reminder of something we do every moment of every day, yet so rarely consciously. Through yoga, breathwork and sound healing practices, Kat creates space for people to slow down, soften and reconnect β moving away from the constant pull of βdoingβ and into a more grounded, restful state.
By linking breath with movement, and using sound as a tool to calm the nervous system, these practices support both physical wellbeing and mental clarity β helping shift the body out of fight-or-flight and into rest and repair.
Yoga is for everyone. If you can breathe, you can practise.
